All five of these takeaways have to do with links. Isn't Panda about on-page or on-site factors?
Hi Willy. The first Panda update was about on site factors, the latest update is definitely about links.
Not sure if you're a real person or an alias, but I have seen no data in this post or anywhere else to back up that assertion. If you look at Google's messaging on Panda, you never see them mention links. My guess is that if the anecdotes alluded to in this article are accurate, then they are either: 1. A signal of a different algorithm change not related to Panda. or 2. The result of a high correlation between crappy link profiles and crappy content. If you look at link metrics to judge an algorithm change, you're likely to see links as the cause.
You took the words right out of my mouth Abigail...yes this update appears to be more about links than on site factors so far, but in my opinion this isn't the end. I expect further updates soon which might include on site factors.
