So you can become like Coca Cola just by connecting to your audience? Don't think so.
The article doesn't say that this is the only thing you should do to become like Coca Cola. The writer highlights some of the tactics that you can use to build a strong brand, and for each tactic she gives examples of successful brands that implemented that tactic (within the frame of more complex strategies, of course). I, for one, agree that the most notable tactic from Coca Cola resides in their efforts to focus on people
"the most notable tactic from Coca Cola resides in their efforts to focus on people" is simply not true. There are dozens of other reasons why Coke succeeded in its history spanning a century. For example they have a secret recipe. They have branded Christmas with the red Santa. They introduced caffeine and other stimulants to soft drinks. They had a sexualized bottle in a time when sex was still a taboo. They have globalized their brand by selling franchises all over the world etc. etc. etc. Do your homework first before spreading simplistic or downright wrong articles.
