It's an incorrect quote, Daniel was talking about using traditional content marketing practices to promote a piece ABOUT content marketing. Not really much to learn from that one sentence.
Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't quote any of the speakers, but I can see how some of my takeaways can be seen as quotes. I should have been more clear. In regards to the point about using content marketing to promote content marketing, it was simply about practicing what you preach. Nothing more, nothing less. A takeaway, at least for me, doesn't always have to be something new I learn. It can be, and in this case was, about reminding us to eat our own dog food.
