I have been using ahrefs paid version for quite some time and solves my purpose
I use MajesticSEO for my own websites to engage people who backlink. It's free so it solves this purpose. For competitor analysis I use variety of tools but this article is comprehensive to see which ones are the best. Thanks for commenting.
So ultimately you need all three tools?
Well, I wouldn't say all three. Depends on the size of the site in question. Lately I use only 2 tools: MajesticSEO for link analysis (my own sites + some competitors) and LinkProspector from Citation Labs. It's enough for me. For larger campaigns I think I would stick to Majestic as I got pretty much used to it.
I have the paid ahrefs, it's my frst go-to tool for link analysis. Recently I have been using it for identifying sitewide links (referring domains section), and anchor over optimization. It's super useful for both of them.
