I cannot stress enough to my clients how important it is if they go through a redesign that we are involved in *every* step. A few months back we got a new client and he was already half way through a redesign and the designer made so many mistakes. Too many things can go wrong.
This really is a great post. As an SEO I can't stress enough to my clients (who want full flash websites...) how important some of the elements mentioned in the post are.
