I've seen it done as an SEO tactic with a competitor. Every post on their blog or guest post they write has the same group of people commenting. I dont know if they see higher rankings (I dont really care) but their fake conversations are amusing cause you know they are all just sitting in the same room. It reminds me of when Bender has that conversation with himself about Brian's family life. Too happy go lucky for me. Its just not real, but I guess that's how most blog comments go anyways.
