commit: fb200d8 - #595 (2014-04-14 00:44:57 -0400)
I'm pretty sure that Duane Forrester wrote this post, but his name isn't on it anywhere. Anyhow, I like how the author creates a connection between SEO and usability, which is spot-on in my experience.
I'd take that a step further to talk about the connection between SEO/inbound channels and content strategy, which includes content management, metadata, infrastructure/architecture, planning, and editorial processes/workflow design.
SEO is such a high-ROI channel that -- when done well -- it can "fund" these other activities that are essential to producing great content and a fantastic user experience, but that do not directly generate traffic and revenue in and of themselves.
I'm glad to see this opinion being put out by a search engine, even if it's not Google.
