Thank you Aleyda for submitting this! I had a typo earlier on in the headline/URL and someone else already submitted the post with the typo, maybe the moderators can merge the votes?

Thanks for posting that link Max. Tad's article is way off and AJ does a polite but thorough job of refuting it.
I'm surprised that a person like you who had problems with Google himself is so enthusiatsically embracing another Google control mechanism with barely any benefits.
My further thoughts are in AJ's Google+ thread
I'm not sure the Authorship:Holocaust analogy quite works.
Please, just because I want you to learn from history doesn't mean I say Authorship equals Holocaust. Why are people always thinking in such simplistic terms?
I didn't simplify it. I just don't think the analogy, the way you have used it, works. Please don't assume I'm all like "OMG! HE SAID HOLOCAUST!!!!!!! OUTRAGE!!!!", because that's not it at all.
You don't understand. It's not an analogy. It's just a tragic story I tell in this post that describes the purpose of unique IDs in the past. An analogy is when I say A is like B.
The organic traffic fell dramatically ever since we implemented Google Authorship. Any suggestions, we literally fear Google as they send us over 80% of total traffic.
Can you give us a bit more information? Has one site/domain been penalized or more than one? Are you active on Google+ or do you just have started using a Google Profile for the purpose of displaying your image in the SERPs? Do you have one author or multiple ones? Did you receive any warning messages via Google Webmaster Tools?
Success Stories, I would highly suspect you have some other problem. You'll waste your time if you blame a drop that big on Authorship, especially since it isn't even a ranking factor yet.
