I verified that authorship works via the rich snippet testing tool. Nothing has happened for about two weeks now. But just today I read your article about verifying the email address. I had not done that until just now. I hope verifying my email will make it work... I have successfully gotten rich snippets on other websites where I have an active following of people in my G+ circles. The websites where I have stagnant G+ profile have not seen any rich snippets though.
There have been plenty of instances where Google has chosen NOT to show your rich snippet due to little to no activity within your linked G+ profile. As long as the rich snippet testing tool is validating your markup and says it works correctly, there should be no issues. I recommend simply increasing the activity of the profiles you want to show up in the SERP's.
This has been working great for me. I'm just curious if anyone thinks Google will "dislike" people having a huge list of sites in the "Contributes To" section of their G+ profile due to Guest Posting. Thoughts?
Interesting question... I'm not sure why they would "dislike" something like this, as long as your profile is active on G+. The authorship markup was meant to be used in this way. Which is to link all of your content on the web to your profile.
