I've been seeing this for months now, anyone else seeing it?
Yes, I have seen similar results. Also for top terms that I'm targeting I notice my front page comes up, and the Google cache has my latest article and just a few hours later it's showing an older one.
This is commonly referred to as the "Google Dance" and it's done this for quite a while. Your results will bounce up and down quite a bit before they "settle" into a spot. But recent studies have shown that top spots are changing with increased frequency meaning nobody is going to be able to dominate a top spot for a long period of time.
