The KML stuff doesn't seem to work anymore – Google Webmaster Tools won't accept KML files, or Geo Sitemaps. I suspect they don't do anything with KML nowadays. Anyone know for sure if KML is useful?
Great coverage of the changes Kim! I've blogged a ton of important resources about the update and am a Google Top Contributor, so have been helping to field all the Qs over at the Places forum. Just joined this site and hope to contribute here too. Linda
Hi Rich, thanks for the comment. "Google no longer supports Geo extension to the Geo Sitemap protocol. However, you can tell Google about your geographical location by including the information in your regular sitemap; it is also advisable to include the URL of your locations.kml file in your sitemap." - sitemap being the web sitemap, sitemap.xml
Thanks for sharing this post here Jason :)
