    I like that emails sit in the inbox, or even deleted or spam folders. the customer can go back to it on his/her time. Unlike social posts that fly by - you miss a lot which is why people tweet so many times, i guess. i find it clutter-ing.

    Not sure I agree. Our company, kickofflabs.com tracks social referrals for our customers via email or social networks. Emails have the highest conversion rate with a Facebook message running a distant second place. Facebook, for example, does a lot of filtering for most users that don't change the default settings. Email is far less filtered and more likely to reach the person. :)
