I wish he woudl have skipped the "bullshit" part. After the fifth "bullshit" he lost me.
What I like most about this post (besides the fascinating and scalpel-like deconstruction of why the Value of a Like model doesn't work) is the pretty constructive suggestions at the end about how to best move forward. It feels like Olivier put just as much thought and time into this as he did into tearing apart the original article.
It's always harder to create than it is to destroy. And it seems to me the mark of a serious person when they can do both equally well.
