This is one awesome little bookmarklet to test your Google Authorship setup.
Let me know if anyone runs into compatibility issues or bugs in relation to the bookmarklet.
oooh my brain just exploded from the awesomeness of this - thank you :)
BOOM!
Thanks Mr. AJ Kohn, There is some issue with my authorship markup. It is showing "Warning: Missing required field "updated". How do I clean this mess? -Hyderali
I'm guessing this is a warning below the Authorship section of the RSTT results. It's usually caused by a missing field within the theme of your blog and generally not something you need to worry about.
I've managed to get the authorship verified, but the 'author stats' in labs still shows 0 pages, despite me implementing it throughout my site - does anybody have any idea why that might be happening?
Has Google applied the Authorship treatment to your posts yet? If you aren't seeing it SERPs yet then you won't see author stats via Google Webmaster Tools. If you ARE seeing it in SERPs it may take up to a few weeks for Google to collect and present the data in author stats.
Thanks for the reply, Nope - it doesn't seem to be in the SERPs yet, but the richsnippets tool is showing me nice little previews that preview the way it'll look. I guess I assumed it'd be fairly quick, but it's been at least a month since I got that aspect working - do you know if there's any specific criteria that needs to be fulfilled before the SERPs include the authorship info? All the content is original and (reasonably!) well written....maybe it's an authority thing and I haven't posted enough related/relevant content to my google+ account to build that?
Once implemented it can take from weeks to months for Google to recognize the markup. The gating function and/or algorithm used to determine who qualifies is murky. The best course of action is to submit your site via the Rich Snippets web form and then try to be patient.
This is awesome, thanks! And finally seem to have gotten mine working both in the testing tool and in the SERPs.
