Interesting. I work in website sales (mostly) and every major update brings a flood of low-quality sites to the market. More and more people are realizing that it's just not worth holding on to sites that may be beyond rehabilitation...
It will be interesting to see whether the impending Penguin update provides any reprieve for sites that were hit hard during the first incarnations. Thus far there are virtually zero demonstrable cases of a normal recovery from a Penguin hit. I'm starting to wonder if getting nailed by Penguin is tantamount to a death penalty for a website. I'm very curious if the new update will be occasion for Penguin-bit sites to regain some portion of their traffic/rankings back.
