I know this is quite an old article but it's a great reference point for all SEO's/PPC/Analytics marketers and therefore deserves to be re-shared.
Old maybe, but still filled full of awesome! I had actually been looking for this article to reference a few things recently. Glad it popped up here! Funny how that worked out. :-)
One of the all-time greats! I use something from this every day.
Great post Chris
One of the most actionable piece of content for seo out there ;) with the google docs one.
Aw shucks. This old thing? :)
I still need to spend some time with this post. A lot of time, actually :)
This is really helpful. Lots of things I need to refresh on here. Thanks for finding and posting.
I don't see this in there, but there is a better way to segment brand v. acquisition. =IF(ISNUMBER(FIND("beginning of brand keyword",A2)),"Brand", "Acquisition") Using the beginning of the brand keyword will help capture any misspellings.
Wow. Cool post Chris, Learn't a lot in excel after studying your post.
This is simply a great post I've used a lot to train interns. A valuable resource/gem.
We built an Excel a few years ago that we used to Concantenate prefixes and suffixes to root keywords for both SEO and PPC keyword research. We then built a PHP app that does it faster and easier. Check out this little app and feel free to use it: http://www.purposeadvertising.com/concatenate.php?act=go
