I really enjoyed this piece, and Anthony's writing style. Really puts the tight definition of SEO (seo=improve traffic via rankings/CTR) in its place - in that it can get people in your door, but doesn't guarantee they'll buy, and certainly doesn't ensure they'll come back, either.
Thanks a lot, Dan. You make a great point - "doesn't ensure they'll come back..." Right - I can see some owners unconvinced, assuming 'sheep' will go with what is ranked #1. Okay- I don't agree, but I can understand train of thought. Then...what happens when consumers have epiphanies re: reality not coinciding with assumption/trophies/rank/'scammed' ratings? A loss of respect to start..
Also don't forget: Behind every successful robot there is a real human being.
