commit: 6b2ca8a - #414 (2014-03-05 12:54:44 -0500)
There's lots of quotable gems in this post, but one I like (and hopefully live by) is:
"If you can perform SEO under the auspice of what is required for the client, instead of what the client thinks needs to be done, you’re well on your way to a successful partnership."
This is always a challenge. I sense the top SEO's are those that can envision what does not yet exist and help bring that to reality.
My key word there was partnership. At the end of the day, if my client isn't a partner, then I'm not having much fun. I really try my best to choose clients that are partner material.
Some times with specific clients you just need to know when yo say NO! If some one requests something too crazy from your brand or the KPI's are sky high look at taking on other business.
