I'm fine tuning a social outreach campaign atm for an A/W launch. This was awesome.
Yeah, "[Asset] for [Blog/Website Name]" as a headline is what I have seen work best as well.
I'm glad to see that other people are experiencing the same thing. (I'm the one who wrote the post.) I understand why people want to be creative & clever with subject lines, but, over and over, I see that simple, straightforward subject line get the best results.
In general, marketers are not supposed to think that what works for them will work for their target audiences. However, we as SEOs are power internet users, and so are bloggers. We SEOs want our own inboxes to be full of descriptive subject lines and not gimmicks. We appreciate organization, honesty, and order. I think it's fair to assume that bloggers want the same. In fact, I think that a lot of our outreach tactics would benefit from applying a "do unto others..." approach.
