Love this post tons, but I think the idea of "creativity" is way more complex and mysterious than the video suggests, especially in regards to music.
It implies for example, that a song = music. As if a folk song-style encompasses all of what music is, and therefore all of creativity. What about improvisation? What about music as communication, ie: native music of the bushmen in Africa? The process for writing a "song" vs. improvisation as creativity are so entirely different.
This may be a bit off point from the video its self. The video's point is that when it comes to inventions and patents - those things are really the work of many. And I like that mindset. Just don't see how one can view all of music, therefore how music is created, only in the view of a Dylan style song format when there's so much more to it.
