heh. Video is great for making a bond. I wish more companies would do this. Not just marketing outfits.

Thanks Paul. I agree in fact more companies should be making videos and showing that their team are real people, then they'll have plenty of outtakes. I always like the way Wistia do videos of their team (although frankly I'm amazed a lot of video tool providers don't make videos of themselves).

said this to Mike in tweet earlier. this is awesome, and (imo) a fantastic piece of branding. it's a refreshing and human signal to see people being...human. the notion of any business 'killing' everything they do is feigned and comes across like a commercial where someone's day was just made by Sunny Delight.. "aw snap, moms got Sunny D, guys!"  (smiley faces and high fives all around).. give me a break...

Thanks Anthony. We've also learnt to be less "perfect" with the videos that make the site as well. Originally we'd try and make every video error free and re-record for even little things like a cough or a mumbled word. Now we correct ourselves as we go and unless we make a factual error we won't re-record. We've also done away with scripts as that led to an robotic reading style and a lack of natural eye movement. It's helped the team relax more when doing videos and we hope that helps the human aspect extend to the ones that go live as well.
