Is it too late to add "Sensationalist Headlines" to the biggest SEO pet-peeve thread?
This headline is very misleading.... or what some like to call optimized for CTR.
+1 It's overall a good article, but generalizing SEO concepts that have no substantial facts or case studies isn't smart. Still, overall good article.

There's a certain irony to this post.
There is quite a bit of hyperbole in this, but I think it still makes some pretty valid points.
You think Problogger will get penlaized for tha guest post?
Agreed. Irony at its finest.
Truly the title is a bit sensational because the word "penalised" is misused. They would not get penalised but I strongly believe they will lose a lot of value and their assessed quality will suffer. In the same way, all the links from these sites will lose value. When an algo update will consider this problem, I foresee a lot of movement on the SERPs!
What is really ironic though is that the article IS a guest post with a really spammy author bio with dofollow links!!!
Agree with you dainel post its self not follow the rules
seriously ??? okay who made the post .. another spammy guest blogging technique .. mate you are shooting yourself in the foot and the worse of all, you are misguiding others .. who says that we have to reveal our identity all the time .. man .. better use article spinner than sensationalizing things unnecssraily
Oh wow the irony. It's killing me.
I'm just thrilled that my face is all over ProBlogger now :)
Gimme an F. Gimme a U. Gimme a D what ya got? Another SEO spreading FUD on a blog that allows said crappy articles to appear.
I'm working on a post called "Why All Links Will Be Penalized In 2013". This FUD idea has legs, I tell ya'.
Agreed – slightly hypey post title! But good general guidelines nevertheless. And guest posting is bound to get more and more over done as 2013-14 progresses.
