An awesome piece of writing, marred only by the fact that my friend Don perpetuates the common misappropriation of the made up term "Author Rank" when he means Authorship. Google Authorship exists. What many call "Author Rank" remains on Google's drawing boards and will probably be implemented some day in some way, but does not yet exist.

I agree Mark, but I think Don was mainly aiming the title of the post as a rebuttal of http://www.copyblogger.com/hunter-author-rank/ - but yes maybe he could add in some comments about Author Rank as a theory and not a real ranking element
