Hope you guys like it! Any feedback, improvements are more than welcome. As I'm currently working on improving the plugin for the next couple of days.
I would normally refrain from putting plugins onto Inbound as it would be too easy for it to become swamped, but this one is an exception. Following on from Tom Anthony's SEOMoz post about the same topic this is much more than just a functionality add-on for Wordpress. This is a "culture change facilitator" plugin that can get the HiPPOs to really see what the opportunity cost of not utilising the social channel.
Thank you for sharing.
Hey Martijn - I love the website as much as the plugin. I hope to have some follow-ups in the coming weeks with some data that we have acquired/analyzed from your plugin. Thanks so much.
What might be helpful is some information on how you are using the plug in, what you like about it.
Nice job, Martijn. :) Lets hope neither Twitter or Google close the entry point. :)
I spotted further coverage of the plugin here this morning: http://www.efrogthemes.com/seo/wordpress-plugin-track-social-network-activity-in-google-analytics/ - nice to see great plugins getting good coverage!
Wow, I have been amazed by the great comments both here and on Twitter. In the meantime, since Yesterday afternoon (Amsterdam GMT+1) I updated the plugin with several improvements. The biggest 'feature' for now is that the plugin gives you the ability to choose the tracking method: Custom variables or Event tracking. A couple of people asked if this would be possible, so added this to the plugin with Custom variables still as the default option.
Very interesting plugin - I'll have to give it a shot. I'm not usually one for this type of plugin, but it looks like it could be valuable.
