Fantastic article by Mark as always.
I'm pretty sure this article will be the new benchmark for any/all SMB to read and digest when it comes to using the G+ platform
Great article. Thanks Mark!
Yes...it is growing a lot
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm hoping to get some pushback as well! I could be wrong about some details, but I firmly believe I am right about the overall design of what Google is up to with Google+ and personalized search. It never ceases to amaze me how few in the tech journalism and marketing worlds understand this, so I had to right this article.
thanks for all you do for the community Mark!
I think you hit the nail on the head.
"the larger and more influential your Google network is, the more search results you affect."
Now that was something I wasn't thinking about! If you're a small business, it's time to meet people on G+ that might be interested in your business so that you can bias their search results!
Most social marketers haven't had any background in SEO, so they don't think in terms of the value of search.
Loved this article. Shortened my learning curve and encouraged me to do what I "thought" I should. Now I know the why. Most valuable to me.
Thanks for sharing this Mark! I'm definitely resharing it in my g+ stream.
