I've been noticing certain common characteristics of the successful people in my life. I've tried my best to narrowing down those characteristics to four traits: 1. They're excellent communicators. 2. They appear highly organized. 3. They manage their time well. 4. They look at life with a healthy amount of optimism. I originally had it narrowed to the first three, but recently added optimism when I saw certain people self destruct through negativity. I would have classified them as successful until that moment.
I really like your points around optimism and negativity. That's sometimes one of the most challenging aspects of realizing opportunities - staying positive and a good colleague even when you don't always win.
Nice observations. I would add, they hardly hear other voices than their own.
