It may be an obvious statement, but more companies should really take a leaf out of SEOmoz's book, in terms of staff retention and loyalty. They really, really should.
it's kind of like that head and shoulders commercial ("but you don't have dandruff...") "but Rand, SEOmoz has a stellar team. You don't have retention issues.." (there's a reason Rand "obviously" has a good team)
Just finished Good to Great and I couldn't stop comparing those Good to Great companies to SEOmoz across every principle, from the Flywheel to the Hedgehog effects. Moz is def doing everything (intrinsic and extrinsic, more of the former) to put and keep the RIGHT people on the bus. My eyes are def on the company not just for SEO reasons, but also to monitor their progression from good to great. To be clear, I don't think they're quite there yet but that flywheel's gaining a lot of momentum.
