Yeah, I generalized and metaphorized your headline a bit to make it appeal to a broader audience.

With your moniker Tad, it makes the wordpun of the title all that more appetising ;)

sombrero tip to you, sir. I think 'case study' was an excellent addition.. and of course 'tasty' as recognized by Paul Gailey

Damn dude. Astounding post and strategy. This is the kind of strategy that, to me, is just a beautiful blend of tactical SEO and strategic marketing and brand-building. Thank you, Anthony. You obviously put a ton of work into this post, greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for reading and sharing, David. This was spawned from an interaction with a large-chain brand. I wondered if being diligent in monitoring what large competitors are doing, good and bad on a micro-customer level, would elicit opportunities for learning about customer service in general, but also giving mom and pops opportunity to do some things better or at all.

Great story. I like how you were able to take that experience and turn it into something you can teach others about. Again, awesome post. One of the best I've read in the past few weeks.

Big Hat Tip Anthony, I really enjoyed discussing your ideas with you and seeing you put them into action so tactfully in this post. My favorite part is how actionable all of these very creative ideas are; I will be sharing this my social media team :)

Damn, these are some clever tactics. I'm thinking about what can be learned from the post and applied to online PR / influencer marketing.

Thanks, Lauren! I appreciate that.. I like the pr/influencer idea- I'd like to read that post.

I'm actually using this one-two punch to pull targeted content from influencers today. This is for a customer service software client. I'm using FollowerWonk to pull the most influential followers (sorted by number of followers compared to following), then using AllMyTweets to search for happy customer service tweets from their customers' customers. Then sharing those tweets. You can make a drinking game from this comment, all those mentions of "customer". Sorry. :)
