Why not a humor section by itself. This site is not only about SEO.
Yeah, a humor section would be a HUGE win - especially since most of the stuff I'm going to publish/be interested in is going to be humor-related.

I find it funny, yet can't help wonder if it just contributes to the "SEO is shady" problem
I don't feel like that's a problem that's ever going to go away. I mean, we manipulate search engine results for a living. Not exactly your most "clean cut" job even on the best of days.
I think of us as being more like wolverines than weasels. :)
It's funny but does leave you with the impression that most SEO consultants are the equivalent of door to door sales people.
