I think not only programmers should know that nowadays.
We have coders on staff, but every project manager here needs to at least know how to identify these issues even if they can't fix them. For being a relatively new post, I think this has some outdated ideas. PageRank and what search engines can see (such as Ajax and iFrames) has changed a lot over the last 2 years. I would have loved to see more tools, too.
