I'm not really sure I agree with this. By all means you might be doing a great service, but it just seems like you're still trying to sneak around Search Engine policy rather than work with them. When I'm building building links back to my content or my client's content, it's because I genuinely believe that content will help that audience so as a result the link is natural. So instead of just uploading content for content's sake and including a "Buy Product Here" link, it's more like "my article on topic/product". Just different way of going about things. As I said, by all means I could be wrong and I might just be misinterpreting :)

Matt not sure what part you're referring to, but I'm not suggesting to upload content for contents sake then include a buy product link... I'm suggesting to build 'resources' (information hubs/educational mini sites/whatever you want to call them) in the sector of the client, as a platform to link from. Not every website/service/business has the privilege of being interesting enough to generate it's own links. I know this is the point where all the cloud 9 SEO's come out the woodwork and start saying be creative etc, but we're talking real world actionable stuff here for clients that need the business. In this climate most businesses haven't got the budget to throw at infographics. I've gone a little off topic there, that's pretty much the start of another blog post! Thanks for the comment :)

I appreciate low budget clients won't be able to do things like hire a creative to make an infographic for him. But there's always something else to do, more time to offer and a different route to take. I wasn't downing your service by any means. So I apologise if it seemed like that. Maybe I had a bad day at work XD. Just wanted to add my piece to the puzzle that on top of your approach, the below is what I see as an alternative and the way I handle my link profile and strategy. Obviously at the end of the day what we work for is results so if it works in a healthy way for you and your clients then that's great work :) just a big fan of a content marketing core!
