I really like the points you make Jason, but I’m wondering how you can get quality bloggers/posts for $10-20 per post. I would think it’s much more expensive (~$50).
Like my comment from the post: "We’ve been able to find newbie bloggers (that can really write awesome posts on specific niches) these past few months, who are also willing to write for $10 a post, as long as we can help them promote their personal brand as bloggers. Most of these bloggers also accept the offer, since the “pay” (even it’s not that big) somehow motivates them to write more (given that they are really doing it for passion)." Thanks Ryan!
Like you said, tools are highly effective for linkbuilding. Have you found on an enterprise level that you get coding assets to build these tools or is it usually just the in-house SEO assigned to work w/ you?
Collaborating with a third-party development team (or in-house, if resources are available) would really be the best way. Knowing the specifics, features as well as the intended use for the projected tool are definitely vital in the creation process, so SEOs will eventually know how to effectively market it (through content). I remember when I was still working with Traffic Travis, both the dev and marketing team collaborated with the product development for their new free version. If clients are willing to invest on this kind of marketing approach, I believe that market research will be as important as coding assets, to ensure that the tool will essentially be useful (just my opinion). Thanks Shawn!
yeah man, great answer and great post--thank you, Jason:)
