Aaron, it's not that I disagree with the overarching point. But I don't really get the connection you are trying to make: "What this means is that users define what they like and what they want to see, as opposed to what marketers force into their streams." Users have defined what they want to see by liking things for years!?
Yes, and I agree with you, but Search Engines arent necessarily taking this approach yet. Entity Search brings it closer and driven by social media will solidify it.
